Permanent Residence Approved for Highly Skilled Foreign Professional in Kumamoto

I recently supported a Taiwanese client in applying for permanent residence, and I'm pleased to share that the application was successfully approved.
The client had been living in the eastern part of Kumamoto City on a Highly Skilled Professional visa, with a score of over 80 points on the Highly Skilled Foreign Professional Point System, and had resided continuously in Japan for over one year. Based on this, I applied for permanent residency under the “Highly Skilled Foreign Professional” category.
In recent years, the number of permanent residence applications has been on the rise, which has also led to longer processing times.
In this case, the application process proceeded smoothly with no additional document requests or inquiries from the Immigration Bureau, and the client received the approval without issue. I am very happy with this outcome.
Currently, the Immigration Services Agency of Japan provides a list of required documents and checklists for permanent residence applications on its official website. This makes it easier for applicants to confirm the requirements on their own.
